I'm running the latest GrapheneOS with no VPN and yesterday it was failing and saying "if you're using one, try disconnecting from proxy/VPN" and today it's saying server not found. This happens regardless whether I click on Anonymous, or Anonymous (insecure).

Is anyone else having this issue? I have another phone without Graphene on the same network and it's working fine.

Rahul Patel:

Quick update:

  • We had to get new VPS for Aurora.
  • Server was up all night but due to change in location accounts were not able to generate auth sessions.
  • Working on it! We'll be back soon.

Happy Friday ❤️

Btw.

  • on GrapheneOS you do not need the legacy "manage all files" permission. GrapheneOS has a specific "obb" permission for installing apps, thats it and even that is legacy
  • use the session installer, nothing else.

Session installer?

Edit: Just checked, it's on session installer, I don't recall changing it (I remember it walking me through it) so it must be the default or at least recommended.

Oh, you were speaking of the permission not installation method. I missed that. Thank you.

Edit: @[email protected] can you clarify.. you mean "All files access" right? https://gofile.io/d/GnG330

Yes. It is only needed for /storage/emulated/0/Android/obb which is legacy afaik and GrapheneOS has a specific toggle just for this.

Same error here, but on LineageOS.

I have never used aurora store, why is there an option for insecure login

I don't know, I assumed it was HTTPS vs. HTTP or the way auth tokens are gathered (using your phone to do it instead of their server, possibly linking to your Google account and risking a ban), but since they're both unavailable when the One isn't working it makes me question that assumption. I'm sure someone else can answer.

I just installed it and there's no insecure option, maybe it's for older devices?. The app also doesn't load anything anyway.

Edit: there is now an insecure option, not sure why it was gone before

Edit2: the app works fine now

Edit 3 - the app shows more apps have updates than google play does.

I had the same issue but it's working again for me now.

I just cleared storage and cache when mine did this.

I was just able to update an app with Aurora on latest GrapheneOS. I use a VPN too
