It sounds like NBCUniversal News Group needs a new chairman. The explanation and justification for such a terrible hiring ought to have serious, long lasting consequences. There are blunders and then there are those who exchange freedom of the press for greed and grift. This should not be soon forgotten.
Agreed. Fuck NBC.
Time to cancel Comcast 📉
Almost made it a whole Scaramucci.
I believe this is what's known as a micromooch.
Nah, this is 7 decimooches.
Gotta keep our units metric where we can.
10^-6^ meech?
I keep seeing this reference...

And yes, I'm too lazy to go to a meme generator, so I'm just leaving that
Damn, that sounds vaguely familiar, but ig Spicer overshadowed him in my memory
To be fair, Sean "among the bushes" Spicer lasted 18.3 mooches.
Ahh the Spicey one. I had a love/hate relationship with him. For anybody who wasn't glued to political feeds expecting Armageddon at any moment like me, this pretty accurately sums up Spicer's reign as White House Press Secretary.
That skit killed his job. Don't get me wrong, I'm okay with it. But Trump saw it and decided he couldn't even be near someone who had had fun poked at him lest he appear weak, so it was good-bye Spicey.
Let's keep McCarthy on standby just in case then . . .
DAMMIT, I thought I was quick with this…
Don’t feel bad you got beat by two minutes. I got beat by an hour and a whole other person.
“I want to personally apologize to our team members who felt we let them down,” he said. “While this was a collective recommendation by some members of our leadership team, I approved it and take full responsibility for it.”
These statements always seem so facile when “taking responsibility” means no consequences apart from issuing an apology.
On top of that, you can see that even the part about taking full responsibility is cloaked in caveats and softening language.
"...our team members who felt we let them down..."
"While this was a collective recommendation..."
Saw no issue with it until public uproar... already shows the execs are completely detached from reality
"But number go up?"
I think it was their attempt on “fair and balanced”. It is just how to balance if you have a third of population believing that Trump won?
Usually you have to forego "fair" if you want to be "balanced". And vice-versa.
You can only have "both sides" to things that are based in reality, not bad faith. Hiring her to "balance" things was an impossibility, since she peddles in bad faith and conspiracy theories.
Rachel Maddow ranted for 29 minutes!!! I need to find that on YouTube.
"Ranted" is an exaggeration as she was exceedingly professional, yet passionate and surprisingly candid. I never really cared about her either way until I listened to her podcast Bag Man. It is incredible. And true! Now I realize she's completely awesome and have a whole new respect for her...
Oh no I meant that in a good way! she is amazing!! Check out her credentials sometime!!
You mean the thing she famously does? I’m not a fan of hers, she’s a bit right wing for me, but her candor has always been very present.
What was her actual job going to be? Was she just going to be a talking head that would give “the other side.” AKA, lies about election fraud and whatnot.
Pretty much
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions"
More like Ronald McDonald
Chris Christy is that you?
These fucking ghouls should be tattooed with an ink that glows under black light. Humanity fails if they are ever able outrun the shame of what they've done.
Tattooing people to mark them? That's some Hitler shit.
No bad tactics, only bad targets, I guess. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
The Nazis used guns so no one should use guns.
-you
Yeah, no.
Inglorious Bastards had a different idea than tattoos.
