I'm amazed how light weight this app is. The quality is here, it's basic and it doesn't take huge space.
A well done app!
A community for the mobile app Connect for Lemmy.

I was thinking about being able to comment with one of the other logged account.
While browsing with one of my multiple accounts, I comment and can choose to post with another one.
I don't know how this is possible and if I was clear.
I think you could do that with Boost for Reddit, but I can't go check because fuck reddit for breaking my favorite app. Anyway, based on that it may be possible but also Lemmy works entirely differently so... Maybe
Also, you should add a "paid key" that we can download from the play store so we can pay for it and support you. I make some money from Google rewards and I don't mind donating them to something I'm using. Just a suggestion.
Could make an IAP be a donation option so a "paid key" is unneccesary
If that can connect to my Google wallet/rewards money, then hell yeah, I'd love to donate every now and then. I appreciate the work put into these apps. I'm actually going to ask other apps devs I use to do the same
I've got Rewards money that expires in about a week. I'd love to be able to use money tied up in Google Play to make a donation. I don't know what else to use it on.
Same here. I don't buy anything from the app store. I only donate to the free apps I use
Simple Mobile does that. There's a separate "thank you" app you can buy just to throw a few bucks their way.
Yup, that's exactly what I meant. I have one for an app called YMusic that I actually purchased. There is an app that has an actual "donate to me" button that always connects to my Google wallet.
Upvote colour can now be customized.
Woohoo! This looks so good now, thank you Kuro!
I'd just like a quick toggle matching theme for Lemmy vote colors in general (blue up/red down).
Yeah I hear ya. Do you mean like a universal scheme?
I personally think light blue and grey are good for up and down, respectively.
Slightly off topic, but related: should I be seeing in your user name?
I don't know which is the "real" Lemmy color scheme with theming and all that, but I think it's generally the opposite of Reddit, with the blue upvote and the more red downvote.
Could you maybe screenshot my username? The O and R should be different, and the last part is a raccoon emoji. If it doesn't show correctly, I'd like to know haha.
The default is blue and red on a browser (in dark mode at least).
The pic is using Connect. But I'm typing this from a browser and it's like that here too
Oh wow. Very strange. I figured it was putting that at the end in place of the emoji or one of the other letters, but the emoji is clearly there, as are the letters. I haven't seen it happen in any app or browser when viewing my own profile, posts, or comments, so I'm not even sure how to fix that. 😅
EDIT: There was an extra space at the end. I deleted it, and I hope that was what was causing it. I appreciate it!
It looks like on both web and Connect it has s
Well, dang. I might just have to have a boring old regular display name then. Thanks!
Thanks for all your hard work! Can't believe how great Connect is in such a short period of time.
Whenever you have time, could you implement saving your place in the comments when coming back to a post. Sometimes I exit a post by accident and when I go back in its takes me all the way to the top.
+1 for that feature.
Thank you devs for doing all the hardworks for this project<3
@kuro thank you so much for making such a great app!
Feature request: Hide annoying emoji display names (show usernames)
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but 'show instance tags in names' will show the real usernames and not display names.
Thanks, it works! The setting is a bit confusing though, I didn't understand what the setting does until you explained it.
I feel personally attacked. 😂
Connect is a great app, support this dev!
My vote for next changes would be to have granular theme customizations (choosing specific color to apply to specific screen elements), AND the ability to export / import themes and settings. Tablet UI features would also be nice (e.g., landscape mode for posts | comments in side-by-side panels).
Allowing us to customize the comments more would be nice. Like I don't want the top level comment to collapse when clicked, just its replies. Also it would be nice if the left padding on the comments was reducible and the colour bar could be made thicker.
I'd like to see a way to scroll to the top on a single button press. If there's one then I'm blind lol
I hate to sound like I'm begging for features and don't want to do a whole separate post, but is there any chance for an "auto-hide child comments" option in the future that collapses replies to top level comments until opened by the user?
It's the only feature I really miss from RiF and RES.
Other than that everything seems to be working great and this is my favorite Lemmy app so keep up the great work!
I'll see what I can do :)
You're a legend
Tablet UI please with columns!
Awesome app. Reminds me most of baconreader
Not sure where to raise this but I'm getting a bug where posts will toggle between read and unread when opening comments from list mode
Is there a way to edit your profile from within Connect? Like updating display name and bio, or uploading a new avatar or banner? I feel like there's been a handful of things I didn't think Connect could do, but found out later that I was just overlooking it or didn't recognize it in the settings.
Another random question - the area in the pop out panel on the left where your username/avatar is displayed at the top (it's blue for me). Should that be showing my user banner? If not, can that be a thing?
Thanks for the update. Yay the page numbers are not showing.
Looks great, thanks for the hard work!
Additional theming would be nice. Personally, I would like the option to move the upvote/downvote arrows and points count to the left of the post in list mode.
Thank you for all your hard work!
Auto collapse comments would be cool
Option to make comment icon do same as comment number would be great.
Love your app, only thing that bugs me is the inanity to have more than one account configured. Try to add a second and you can't go back to the first without signing out of everything and starting over.
Can you explain further? I'm not the dev or affiliated, but I have two accounts on different instances signed in, and I can toggle between them without issue. I just recently also got settings to configure per account rather than app wide. I might be able to help?
Hide Above is a pretty sick idea, and solves a problem I didn't realize I've been encountering for years on Reddit clients. I hate scrolling up to hide stuff I just saw.
