I signed up to this instance on Friday 16th June 2023 at 4:32pm apparently. So that long, plus maybe another week tops for other Lamington instances I had signed up to prior but no longer use.

Used to browse Reddit a lot, but their hostility toward users really got my nose out of joint so now I hit it up maybe once a week. Feels like any contribution made there is just going towards some dickheads share price rather than "the community", ya diggit? What a waste of 13 years of providing content (which I've now deleted, thanks shreddit). Also it would appear the /r/brisbane mods have been replaced by cunts (or perhaps they always were and I just didn't notice?) so about the only place I would still be bothered to participate in has lost its appeal too.

Lemmy does remind me a lot of Reddit back in the day so fingers crossed it carries on. And old mate Lemonadian does a good job of making this instance super responsive which makes using it as a platform super smooth.

I feel guilty. I think I could sleep much more.
