Excellent scents all around! This was a very enjoyable BVWSC shave from a new-to-me artisan, generously provided by @[email protected].
Los Jabones de Joserra Noir is the clean-shaven, dapper, three-piece suit wearing, quietly aloof, socialite brother of the Carhartt-wearing, shaggy-haired, unruly-bearded, wilderness-loving, overly affectionate brother that is Dirtyver.
Suffice it to say that Dirtyver overpowered LJdJ's Noir, but Noir is an easy to use, well crafted scent that I'm now very tempted to introduce to my den.

Mar 13, 2024 - MM24 7th Match-Up: Spearhead vs. CB
Today's match-up could have gone either way. Spearhead has excellent bases and beautiful vintage scents re-created by Shawn. Still, when I woke up this morning, I just wanted to use Blugère.
The CB Luxury base is fantastic, and Blugère is one of favorite fougères besides Passiflora. I used the Aftershave Lotion this morning for the first time, and I love how it brought out the scent notes in such a different way.

Thanksgiving Vespers
Christmas Markets have already started here in Germany, and we'll be visiting some soon. Vespers is one of my all time favorite scents, and I'm thankful that I could use it for the shave this morning. Such a fantastic cranberry note.

I had another shave planned, but this setup just fit the mood I was in. While lilac might be front and center, it was the jasmine working in the background that tied it all together.
First impression of the Overlander is very positive. I'm looking forward to more shaves with it.

Sep 7, 2023 - Sample September: Propaganda
I found out how great Propaganda smelled all too late. Dr. Jon's had already closed up shop and retailers were selling out of their discounted items. Vanilla, mandarin, sandalwood, patchouli, and musk make this a stand out scent. Followed up with Fú Dào, which adds some additional complexity, namely with the spicy ginger and firecracker, to the established mandarin and sandalwood notes.
The bold Drakkant razor provided a remarkable shave with Dr. Jon's wonderful vegan base.
