Smells like bullshit to me

No, they don't "fail basic science". They point out that there is a correlation and we need better studies, but the mere existence of the correlation is worrying, especially considering a lot of recent studies are confirming the link between cannabis and teen psychosis. A lot of the early studies on the harm of cigarettes started similarly. Correlation between lung cancer and smoking tobacco doesn't imply causation, but it's one hell of an alarm bell.

The author of the article themselves doesn't say cannabis is a gateway drug and even recognizes that asking people to just not use it isn't realistic.

Props to you for choosing being yourself even though it's hard!

My coming out was pretty messy too. I can only tell you that it gets better. You already have a good social safety net from what I can understand on your post, but I would recommend too that if you don't have already, start making new IRL trans friends. They are sure to help you navigate this moment.

As a Latin American, the US is the very last county I want to visit on the entire continent. Literally the only thing that I kind of want to see there is the Lego store in NYC.

Same here. I guess it's a blessing.

I'm not coming back to Reddit through their app.

The album is Die Und Immer, by S.I.N.A (the same people from Pzychobitch).

There's a full album upload on YouTube, but I wanted to know if any music streaming service has it before just downloading from YT.

I'm not asking for piracy, ~~even though I'm not not asking for it,~~ just a streaming with the individual songs.

Thanks if anyone finds out, and if you never heard it I highly recommend it. Sounds amazing.

Very sad day indeed.

I was already using reddit less. I guess this is the final goodbye.

I think it's an interesting work for solarpunks as it describes the blueprint for what is one of the most democratic and ecological societies around the world.

Well, for starters, MPL wasn't anarchist-inspired, it's a coalition movement. Saying it's anarchistic would be like saying Pride is anarchistic due to the lack of a single formal leadership.

I've been in anarchist circles for years, and never, ever saw anyone mention the book "Change the World Without Taking Power". Most anarchists here are more inspired by older, classical works. I myself tend to critique them for not reading anything after 1950s.

And he must be referring to anarchists here when he talks about horizontalists, because the other political organizations in MPL are MLs, trotskyists, and maoists. What's insane is that the vast majority of the Brazilian radical left is marxist leninist and pretty much allergic to horizontalism. The reason they build coalitions is because they are in most cases weak and small, not a lack of authority.

As a Brazilian, I can tell this guy is full of shit and doesn't understand what happened here in 2013.

Choosing Saudi Arabia for this is like choosing the US for an international conference on anti-imperialism.

Anarchy is the only way to stop an asshole.

If you're an asshole in anarchism, you'll fuck your neighbor's life.

If you have a State or other giant hierarchy filling assholes with power, they will fuck everybody's life. Case in point: every single billionaire alive.

How do anarchists propose handling public works, healthcare, etc?

Well, how we do it now?

During the Spanish Civil War, anarchists socialized many industries. What they found out was that you could just remove people from most management positions and continue work as before. Very rarely a manager was actually needed, and when it was they would simply elect one of themselves to fulfill the role for a while.

Talking about healthcare specifically, in many countries that have public healthcare, the system is already decentralized. Because it needs to be, otherwise they can't properly answer the demands from their communities. Again, you just need to remove pointless middle-men and other workplace hierarchies (like physicians being more important than nurses), and stuff tends to get better.

Use the Ad Nauseam extension and fuck with advertiser algorithms in general. It works both as an Ad Blocker and adds fake clicks and ads. It even has a feature where they show how much economic damage you are causing per page.

There are other tools designed to screw with data collection, but this is by far my favorite.
