The entire concept of growing up, in fact the entire concept of childhood are social constructs designed to break your creativity and shape you into the perfect obedient worker for the rest of your life

I seriously never ever see a liberal consider reproductive labor as a form of work that should never compensated. Pretty disturbing tbh

Same thing can be said to any source of power or authority. Including bosses at the workplace, teachers at school, parents at home, etc

Detained without trial in 2006, Zubaydah is one of 15 people who remain at the US military prison.

The global south is so ruined and in so much turmoil almost exclusively due to the damage caused by powerful countries in the north

We have a anarchist reading group starting up on signal for anyone that is interested. We'll choose a text to read, then meet weekly to discuss it. If you're interested leave a comment with your signal info or send me a message

The point is very true. We never gave the state the right to control us, it's something they seized for themselves.

Colonial apologists in general can usually never come with a good reason to justify their colonialism so they come up with bad stuff like this

Instead of saying I'm an anarchist I talk about things from an anarchist perspective without mentioning the word "anarchy". I usually will defend communism because I consider myself communist, but if you mean socalled "communist" states, I'll usually point out that none of them were actually communist

I know that anarchism, specifically anarcho-communism and marxism are very different. People always talk about their main difference being that they have a different means of achieving their goals but the same end goal , but that's definitely not true. So what are some of the ways they are different?

A lot of countries opposed Germany in "ww2" because they wanted their country to be the global superpower, not Germany. So it's not that they had an issue with Germanys ideaology, but instead felt threatened by it's existence, similar to how the US and USSR felt threatened by each other's existence. In fact both the US and Soviet union had policies of their own that were pretty similar to the nazis. The US had Japanese internments camps, along with racial segregation. Soviet union had gulags and the great purge

Exploitation. Everything is built around exploitation. Of course capitalism is not the only exploitive system that exists, it's just the one most visible to us.

Basically the title. I'd like to meet some more anarchists around where I love and hopefully become more active with them and potentially organize. Just not sure how to start that so would helpful for some ideas!
