The main 3 I’m considering are the Nikon D3300, Panasonic G6 and Panasonic G80. The G80 is more expensive but does have 4k video.

D3300 £149 - £204 with the 35mm f1.8g lens G6 £129 - £313 with the 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 lens G80 £234 - £418 with the 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 lens

This is my first camera and I am quite the noob. I’m planning on taking it with my to paris soon for some travel and portrait photography

EDIT: I got the Nikon D3300, with the 35mm f1.8 and the 18-55mm kit lens for £260 shipped, should arrive tomorrow. Can’t wait! Thanks everyone!

Okay cool thanks, I might take it to a shop and ask for advice. I haven’t actually tested it it might be fine in practice Thanks! :)

I’ve had the lens for like 4 years and it’s stayed the same the whole time. Is it stupid to think about opening it myself and wiping it off with a microfibre cloth?

Haha! I’m talking about the little cluster at the top of the left planet

I got this lens from a charity shop, it’s a healios 44-3. I’ve kept it for years intending to get a camera and adaptor for it one day but it has this sort of cotton strand looking stuff on the middle element.

I know nothing about lenses, is this fixable with a professional clean for example?

Thanks!

Interesting, I thought it might be more complicated to develop for but idk what I’m talking about when it comes to that 😅

That’s interesting. I thought the return to a more typical snapdragon chip might make it more popular than the 5

Roughly how long will it take the fairphone 6 to reach the level of support the fairphone 4 is at now?

I’m debating getting one to tinker with

Update: it didn’t fix it :(

I have removed all the commands but it happens very rarely so I think I’ll need to give it a few days to definitively say it has fixed the issue

Otherwise it’s been great.

My launch options for cs2 are:

Mangohud gamemoderun -vulkan -threads 12 -nojoy -fullscreen -sdlaudiodriver pipewire

-threads 12 might be an issue I also switched from ryzen 5600 to a 5700x3d around the same time

Since changing my gpu from an RTX 2060 to an RX 9070 XT, I have been getting pretty random freezes when playing cs2. I can’t think of a time where this has happened in another game.

I’ve removed the nvidia drivers, and I’m running the latest mesa version in the Arch repository.

Has anyone else encountered this? Should I reinstall my system?

Thing is, the pinenote is €610, and the kindle paperwhite is £160, cheaper on discount.

I get your point and there’s a reason why the kindle is as cheap as it is, but I can understand why someone would see those prices and go for the kindle.
