What if this community hosted weekly threads on what books everyone has recently read or is reading, their review of the book, and whether they would recommend it to others or not? The books can be on various topics such as fiction, non-fiction, history, science, engineering, imperialism, economics, environmental sciences, labor movements, journalism, marxist theory, or we can host different threads for different genres if the mods want.

I think in this way, we can help fellow comrades find new, riveting literature as well as increase the engagement in this community.

Thanks for reading.

Edit: We can do a monthly thread if a week seems too short of a time to read something new.

I'd be interested in talking about my non-theory reading. I may be wrong but isn't there a similar thread in another community?

GenZedong is the only one that comes to mind, but itt's not really book specific.

(Just pitcing in. No clue if that's what the other guy was referring to)

But those are general discussion threads and not book recommendation threads.

I don't remember anymore. I just tried to find the posts but came up empty.

I don't know if this counts as non-theory, but I've been reading Marx at The Arcade, recently, and I've found it fun. Analysis of the gaming industry.

Is the mod gonna reply or not?

I recently finished Angels in America. The plot was compelling, but the politics seemed to be all over the place. Belize was based as hell tho.

I will be reading soon again although I have to do with work from my postgraduate education.

Thank you, it is a struggle, but I am studying to be a journalist, so I can better fight back.
