I get the feeling that simply working at Amazon means your job is at risk.

Thanks. There is a community darkroom in Oslo that I'll probably use for making prints. I do plan on shooting quite a bit though, so I figured I might try doing the actual film rolls myself, as I can't really get there that often with it being at the other side of town from where I live.

A public restroom along E6 between Minnesund and Espa in Norway.

Lab developed and scanned. Should hopefully buy the gear to develop the film myself soon.

Agfamatic 1000 (lemmy.zip)
submitted 1 day ago by [email protected] to c/[email protected]

So I just picked this up today, the Agfamatic 1000. Feel like a 1970s spy! I've got a few 110 film cartridges by lomography on the way in the post. Fortunately my local lab does 110 film.

Wondering how bad the resulting images will look ๐Ÿ˜…. Anyone else been shooting any 110 film in recent years?

Sounds like something you should seriously ask your doctor.

Is it possible your tap water is low quality? An interesting experiment would be to boil some water for 5 min to kill any bacteria. Then let it cool, and then pour it in a container and pop in the fridge. Then try drinking that in the morning and see if it resolves your issue.

With the coffe it's already getting boiled for a short time, with the apple juice and oj, you might not be drinking enough water for it to affect you, and it's getting diluted.

So last week I posted about how I'd dug out my old 35mm camera bodies. I handed inn my first roll of Kodak 400 TX today and couldn't resist getting a few new rolls to experiment with. The Lomography Babylon film has only done 4 exposures so far, as I haven't had a tripod at my disposal.

I'd seen some cool creepy shots online of statues using a high grain film, and thought I'd attempt something similar, so I got Ilford Delta 3200 for that. I'll have to shoot in the late evening considering my shutter speed tops out at 1/2000.

Also been watching a few videos about the Phoenix colour film, and decided to give that a try, along with a roll of Kodak Gold.

My biggest challenge right now is which one to load up first. That got me wondering, how many cameras do people here operate at a time? Do you have several cameras with different kind of film loaded, or do you stick to 1 type of roll at a time?

I intend to start developing my B&W film myself soon, but I need to get paid at the end of the month before I start investing in the gear to do so. Until then Oslo Foto near where I live have quite a good reputation, and the price isn't bad considering I'll be scanning them myself.

Here's hoping I actually remembered to take the lens cap off my camera when I was shooting the Kodak 400 TX!

[Edit]ย I should probably emphasise. This isn't my first roll ever, as I did do film photography about 15 years ago. This is however my first roll now that I've renewed my interest.

I did quite a bit of film photography about 15 years ago. Decided to dig my cameras out and try my hand at developing and scanning some B&W film.

I originally thought I'd bought the Lomography Berlin, but I now see I bought the Babylon which is ISO 13 ๐Ÿ˜…. Guess I'm buying a cable release and borrowing a tripod for that one. Unless we get unusually sunny weather here in Oslo. Fortunately I have two camera bodies and loaded the other with Kodak 400 TX.

Will be interesting to see how badly these turn out.

If calling the police gave you 8 months the first time, I'd say calling them again is a logical step. It clearly had an effect last time.

I never buy/install games with Denuvo. Guess it will be a while before I'm playing this.

Considering they have a public website and repo on GitHub for the project, it's not like Nintendo doesn't know about them.

Silent Hill 2 remake has just been released on GOG. Definitely wasn't expecting this to happen less than a year after release.

One of the latest additions to the GOG preservation program is Breath of Fire IV.

Never heard of it myself, but it looked interesting, so will probably try it out this weekend.

Doom (2016) just launched on GOG, and it's on offer. I purchased straight away as I really enjoyed this one. Wasn't expecting to see more Bethesda games on GOG after Microsoft purchases Zenimax.

I've had a ROG Azoth (don't judge) keyboard for about a year now. Been using it for both programming and gaming, and I really like it, but there are a few issues (software being the obvious one). So I've decided it's time to put together my own keyboard. I started watching some YouTube and yeah.... I'm out of my depth here.

So I was wondering if maybe people could share things they wish they knew when starting out so I don't mess up to badly.

I've already found this switch tester which I figured would give me a general idea of what kind of switches might be for me. Other than that, I'm not really sure how to proceed ๐Ÿ˜….

I'm not interesting in doing any soldering.

Whenever I try and read long posts with several images, scrolling down becomes extremely sluggish. I've attached a link to one such post. Once I reach the replies to the post, scrolling becomes responsive again.

This is on Android.

I got the impression they're aiming more for a "fan club" kind of thing where you get access to articles/videos/Q&A/voting rights, etc. So more a kind of Patreon like many creators have. I didn't get the impression that this would in any way change the business model of the store.

I'd love a gog galaxy client for Linux with proton support. I also agree though, that it probably wouldn't help them become more profitable.

Just did a GOG survey that focused on the idea of a paid membership option on GOG. Seems they're determining what people would be willing to pay extra for. Some of the options were

  • a tool for backing up offline installers
  • ability to install previous versions of a game
  • extra insight into the preservation work they're doing.
  • voting rights on games to bring into the preservation program.

And others that I can't remember.
