Incorrect. CBS owned and operated a tv and radio manufacturing arm, acquired Fender musical instruments and rolled their separate manufacturing arm under the Fender design name. They bought toy companies, the X-Acto knife company, all again making stuff while owned wholly by CBS.

CBS even had its own R&D lab which ran for 50 years, again killed in the 80s, including development of military tech.

Then in the 80s the divestment era hit wall st and everything was sold off, including the company itself in the 90s.

Counterpoint: A 17 year old kid without a fully formed brain shot into car, a horrific, vile act.

He spends 8 years, half of his life prior to his heinous act in prison.

Assuming the conservative position is not emotionally driven, looking at data and numbers, is the purpose of prison is to reform individuals to reintroduce them into society?

Additionally, it costs $106,000 a year to house inmates in the state. From a fiscal perspective it is in the best interest of the state to get prisoners rehabilitated and reintroduced to society, as well as reduce recidivism.

Preventing others from going to jail and knowing how to keep people from going back in, knowing how to get people out of jail is all in the best interest of all. Hiring this person, assuming they’re repentant and reformed, could prevent crime and do more to help society than if they just rot at $106k/year.

Looking for a song featured in a music video, seems like it’s noise rock (very Jesus lizard-y), comes on for just a moment when one of the characters is flipping through channels on tv.

Comes on about 10 min into "Cold Lazarus, "the seventh episode of the first season of Stargate SG-1.

Thanks!

Fresh water lakes flow down into the locks, feeding them and also provide waterways for the ships to traverse across the isthmus. The canal artificially connects various lakes in addition to the locks which are used to move the ships up or down.

Rad, have fun with your project! I’ve made my recommendations in order of priority (in my opinion) if you want to take them on as you save up money rather than all at once.

First and most important: Tusq nut, locking tuners (I’ve had good luck with guitar fetish and musiclily stuff if you’re trying to stay on a budget). The biggest problem with budget guitars is tuning stability, and the culprit is ALWAYS the nut. Locking tuners are a nice to have as well

Second I’d recommend some AlNiCo-v pickups since the squire probably comes with cheap ceramics. Again, if you’re trying to stay on a budget you can get some decent cheap upgrades from FLEOR. I’d recommend something a bit more tame to pair with the duncan distortion if you’re trying to increase versatility, and choose a 4-conductor version so you can…….

Third: switching. Find some push pull pots so you can split your bridge and neck pickups. If you’re trying to keep it darker sounding go with 250k, if you want to brighten up go with 500k.

After that you can look at body shielding, upgraded bridge… but these are really diminishing returns. Also you have to be careful when looking at bridges cuz the screw spacing is different between USA and import models much of the time. The body thickness is also generally thinner on imports too so if you’re doing a trem upgrade you’ll wanna make sure it’s not too thick for the body. I learned about both the hard way but thankfully gave access to good machinists.
