People pay full price for steam games?

Like, you don't have an abundance of games to play and cant wait a year, maybe two, to get it for atleast 50% off?

Or is that just me and am I weird?

We got chickens when facing an egg crisis here in NZ. Lovely little animals. It's been nice being able to look after and care for these creatures, knowing they are living the good life whilst consuming their eggs. Much more useful than my dumb dog.

As someone who's skipped the whole OE and worked hard to scrape together a house deposit, living in a not too great area surrounded by KO homes whilst struggling somewhat to pay the mortgage, I don't get the sensationalism surrounding the news articles focusing on KO lately.

Like, I'd love to be able to live in a nicely insulated home where the cost won't exceed 25% of my income. If people take the mickey in this situation we shouldn't be giving them a rent free pass? ie rewarding people for not playing their part in society.

Alternative headline: Tenants who don't pay rent get evicted.

Rip millions of tax payer dollaroos

In the old days of 5 days a week in office, people would only grab a coffee or snack/lunch once or twice a week.

In the new world, with people coming into the office twice/thrice a week, they now grab coffee/lunch every office day as a treat, with the extra costs being offset by less spent on transport.

Also, this is just another step in the wrong direction climate wise. Aren't we meant to be reducing transport and our carbon footprint? Maybe first focus on improving public transport before making statements such as these that will inevitably lead to more vehicle traffic and congestion onto our roads.

Grateful to be living in a country where police don't even carry firearms regularly - New Zealand

Like, it's great that this line of income exists for ministers/prime ministers that genuinely need it to be able to live in Wellington. For example if an average New Zealander got into parliament.

However the hipocrisy from this man is unreal. This is using the electric car rebate but critising the hell out of it and scrapping it as soon as he could, but on a whole other level.

If housing is an issue in Wellington (it is) actively work on fixing it as opposed to providing crazy subsidies to ministers.

Luxon mentions people on the benefit needing a crackdown as there are people living on taxpaplyer money who shouldn't, what the fuck is he doing claiming all of these extras?

Time to bring in means testing for the benefits our ministers can access.

I'm a bit peeved at some of the "surprises" that have popped up as part of the coalition. Whilst I don't necesarily fall on the left or right, I have reached my threshold with some of the things that are currently being prioritised, such as making changes to the smoke free plan.

You can find emails of the ministers at the link above, but as the link above will tell you, there is a separate email for the MP themselves. To get that list you have to manually make changes, so to save anyone else some time I've gone ahead and done so for you:

Can we just all agree that the majority of the actions the current gov is focusing their time and effort on are dragging this country backwards?

Is there anyone who's able to say fuck yea to all actions the coalition are completing?

Like my family is a bit more on the right then me, they definitely voted for one of the three parties, but even they are like "what the fuck" to half the shit that they are doing.

I'd be surprised if they extend their reign at the next election.

Vodafone just let us know our fibre bill will be going up by 6$ a month, citing their costs changing.

Shouldn't fibre costs decrease overtime as it gets more users and achieves economies of scale?

Vaquitas are the smallest of all the living cetacean species measuring between 1.2 and 1.5 meters (4-5 feet). They are only found in the Gulf of California and it's thought there are just 10 left, down from around 30 in 2017. The reason for this decline in the population is due to fishers using gillnets, a specialized flat net used for the illegal hunting of totoaba fish, which are sold into the lucrative traditional Chinese medicine black market

It's messed up that we have to put a number on body parts for insurance reasons, but it sure should be a hell of a lot more than just over $1k

I'm all for innocent until proven guilty, but man it would take some good explaining as to how she and her kids survived her own dinner.
