I have not seen this mentioned before, but the Teslas people buy in the US isn't helping the environment. You just are saving on fuel!

I mostly see Lemmy communities in my "All" page, but I am not sure if that is the case, how discovery across Kbin and Lemmy would work.

Banana Republic is a term coined for all the countries where this company operated.

Boost was incredible when I was on the previous platform!

I want to try that out. I did use Liftoff, Jerboa and Connect.

May be this will change when Boost comes on the Play Store, but for now, Jerboa has been my go-to.

Haha, I know. Just was in a very difficult period a couple of years ago, where upgrading to a new phone was not even one of my top 10 priorities in my life then.

So, I will be getting a new Pixel 7a tomorrow most likely.

It is a one month old device apparently in Mint condition, with ~$100 cheaper price, should I go for it?

I currently use a Pixel 3 XL, which I bought on Day 1 so I am thinking it is time to upgrade. Anything I should know before I go through with it?

This is kinda odd timing.

I just started using AntennaPod on Monday since I want to switch to FOSS apps as much as possible and also deleted my PocketCasts account completely.

It sucks that there is no such account in my Google Podcasts app, but uninstalled that too. AntennaPod, FTW!

Keyboard Options (lemmy.world)

So, I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but can Google know what I'm typing or has any triggers if certain words are spelled out or my passwords are being typed out?

Basically, I'm trying to see if the Google Keyboard app needs to be replaced, since this is something I've been using for the past 9 years.

I am genuinely curious. What's the role of the new CEO if this turd keeps doing everything he can to burn this ish to the ground?

I loved Colorado. It's my all time favorite state to Visit, but nature wise, I thought Oregon and California have more diversity.

To begin with, they also have the ocean. Amazing forests, beautiful mountains, volcanoes, fantastic lakes and my favorite, huuuuge trees!

Non-American, not a native speaker either, but how is writing correct spelling American-centrist?

I'm genuinely curious to know.

So, I work a corporate job and I have to use MFA to login to my accounts. The problem is, I can't use any other app other than Microsoft Authenticator to use, I've tried using Aegis or Google Authenticator or a couple of other ones, all I see is can't use this app or something similar.

Any workaround to this?

I don't mind using Microsoft Authenticator, but having someone tell me I can only use that kinda irks me to an unbelievable extent.

Thanks!

Honestly, apathy. It is not like people have to start paying for the app or website explicitly

  • Facebook/ Meta stole and continues to steal millions of users' data, the vast majority of the users do not care
  • Twitter hacked most third-party apps, but people still use it because it doesn't affect them personally. They still use it for free, so why not?
  • Reddit killed third party APIs? People will grumble, but they will recalibrate their mind and continue using the official app.
