I see this trend all over the place. I just found out Sony has something called "MySony". My bank has "MySpending Cards". My company uses Paycom and it has something called "MyCom", and i think i remember it also having more things with the MyNoun name format.

What and why is this?

After immigrants are detained by ICE, there are probably records somewhere of who has an attorney, and who is calling family members or an attorney.

For the immigrants who aren't calling any family or lawyers, the poorest of the poor, people with little to no connection to anyone, who may not even say which country they are from, if the administration were actually trying to kill as many disconnected immigrants as possible in secret, would society know?

For example, if the administration was composed of all types of conservative people, but 30 percent were secretly Nazis or wanted racial genocide, could there be a campaign to not just remove, but kill, immigrants, and the public doesn't find out?

I have a PC that I got from someone else who built their PC and it is finally starting to show its age. Sometimes when I open applications, the frame rate drops.

I've only heard bits and pieces of this from friends and strangers through some specific events so far and desire to know more about it, at least that which is publicly witnessed or documented. I just mean to learn this for educational and entertainment purposes because I am genuinely intrigued with the logistics behind making these operations possible like the other topics that have been covered by Wendover Productions.

Whenever I post or comment (collectively, "post"), it has my upvote automatically without me doing anything, so the post always starts at +1/-0.

Now I've seen fresh posts with +0/-0, so not even the user itself is upvoting.

I don't really care that much about votes, but I'm curious. Is this the user removing their own upvote, a client feature, some server feature, or some other reason?

It seems like a kind of a paradox that online video games are held accountable for servers that they have nothing to do with, but meanwhile a browser can be truly open and doesn't have to employ any restrictions like age verification, or banning ips? Not even China goes after the browser level.

I am currently using Fedora 43 KDE, and this issue only recently popped up. My trackpad is being exceptionally borky, I can't accurately use it without any jitters and jumps! I have no idea why this is happening. Like when I try and click a button, the trackpad decides to jump to the button below for who knows why. For reference, when I use a mouse, it tracks fine, and the touchscreen still works. I think my stylus does as well. It's just something to do with the trackpad. How do I fix my trackpad? Is there a way to "recalibrate" it or something?

The issue does not disappear when I a) restarted sddm and b) restarted my computer

My trackpad has fully gone rogue, it's moving incredibly erratically and now it's even clicking and holding when I'm not! Infuriating indeed.

edit 2: I have restarted again and it magically seemed to fix itself! That's fun. Why the first restart didn't work I have no idea. Two is bigger than one I guess, and bigger is always better...

Sometimes I want to listen to raw song covers that are ideally just video recordings without digital alterations. I used to be able to just look up *song name* acoustic/unplugged cover on Youtube and I'd already get what I want.

These days sometimes covers labeled as such aren't acoustic in the first place. Or even if they are, they have an overly clean or a synthetic "overproduced" sound, which is not what I'm looking for. I want a white noise in the background or little nuisances. I want the artist in the foreground and not the assembly, production quality or the mixing. Therefore I'd have to filter for older videos, look for 'amateurish'/unprompted settings in the thumbnails or check out every video in the search results one by one.
