This is the silliest thing I've ever heard, do they even know their audience.

I have an apostrophe and it's super annoying as some companies see it as a SQL injection hack and sanitize it.

So I've received ID with Mc%20dole or they add a space in it. Or I'll get a work email with an apostrophe but I cant use it anywhere because sites have it disabled. And I've missed my flight because I changed my ticket once to add the apostrophe and the system just broke at the gate.

Worse yet many flight companies have "you will not be able to board if your ID doesn't exactly reflect your details" but their form doesn't allow it. Even most forms for card payments don't allow it even though it's the name on my card.

No. I used to believe we were, I thought every generation the world was becoming more open and fighting for a better tomorrow.

But not anymore, I think the rich has put short term profits over the needs of the world sooo much that it's placed the majority in a bad situation. And because of that, people can and will only be able to look out for themself first. Because they are in a situation where they have to.

And I think we've gone past the point of return, where the future will continue to go negative, whether it be businesses destroying the society for profit, or the destruction of the planet or financial crises and hyper inflation from printing money, or just some outright war.

The majority are so busy trying to put food on the table or get a roof over our head that we can no longer care for the rest of the world.

Youtube wants to own what you watch. Thats why they pivot so hard from showing you the subscriber list first and want to bank on their own algorithm to choose what you see.

Once they do, they have a captured audience of millions they get to choose what you think, buy, see ads for and become addicted too.

Theres a few answrs to this

  1. It uses your movements before this to determine whether it feels like your a bot or not
  2. It makes you wait, the biggest issue with bots is they may try to log in say 50 different passwords for example, so if it takes 5 seconds to do each one it makes boting multiple acounts not worth it.
  3. Google uses catchphas with images to choose. They use this to train their own AI or data to sell

I remember downloading game walkthroughs and it came as a downloadable text file. Had sooo much content, awesome ascii art, and you could tell the person made it did so because they enjoyed it and wanted you too

Is it only me?

If you think flying through space is thrilling, imagine how thrilling it is to forget to save for the past half an hour and see that load symbol slowly start to freeze because you walked into a shop.... ...

Adding a pic of the merch I got today at least.

Lol That's awesome, less of a workaround and more of a "we fixed it already, but whatever you're using probably hasn't caught up yet".

Yes, that's why we should always call it out in all forms about how any person of authority can extort people and the importance in ensuring it doesn't happen.

I weirdly get depressed about this a lot. Like I just imagine some programmer guy, with the best intent in the world, adding in code to let websites know you're using a phone so that you can make super good content that fits a phone perfectly and increase experience to every user.

Only for the next day some rich monopoly company being like "lol let's use it to block access to our website, and force people onto our app". :(

Don't know if it's super useful but was told companions can use weapons you give them if they have at least one ammo piece in their inventory. So I used this to give them one of each out of like a thousand ammo I have.
