Some more angles

Finished a set of Gryph Hounds. Finally getting a handle on organic figures and bases I think. Big change from painting nothing but space marines for a while. :p

Sorry for poopy gif quality, video kept failing.

Went for a stone pyramid with sandstone plates kinda thing. Edge highlighting the plates under all the branches and leaves tested my sanity, especially doing it 4x.

Lot more I could have done with this, but I had enough so it is what it is!

Got a chance to work on some seraphon for a local commission. Pretty fun to paint!

Getting hooked into Sigmar, friend got me another model I posted earlier (the lord-relictor), and this was the freebie Vindictor from the Warhammer store they hand out to those starting out. Ended up getting one of 'getting started' boxes and split that with a friend. Will probably get around to those and post more when I make more progress.

I usually run Grey Knights in 40k; wanted to do something other than the blue and gold, but I also like the aesthetic they had.

Ended up doing Grey Knight Steel for the main color (since I have so much of it lol) and accenting it with bits of gold and purple because I liked how it looked :)

Warhammer fans and AEW wrestling fans will soon be doing the Predator hand-shaking meme thanks to an upcoming exhibition match where Claudio Castagnoli and Kip Sabian will compete using Age of Sigmar’s new Spearhead mode.

The bout is one part of the miniature wargame’s big preview of Age of Sigmar’s upcoming 4th Edition - Mortal Realms Reforged during the Dallas Open at the Arlington eSports Stadium on May 16th and 17th. Castagnoli and Sabian will take control of a Skaven and Stormcast Eternals army and battle it out using the recently announced Spearhead game mode.

Sitting somewhere between lightning-quick skirmishes and complex full army battles, Spearhead advertises a gateway to large-scale Warhammer played on a battlefield that’s only a quarter of the core game’s recommendation - and not coincidentally perfect for the kitchen table. Warhammer will be releasing Spearhead boxes for many of its existing factions, and existing Vanguard boxes will be rebranded going forward. Other changes include simplified Warscrolls, a Reinforcements keyword that brings certain defeated units back to the board and several other changes meant to streamline the four-round matches.

The double turn is an attempt to use a very simple system – a single die roll – to introduce a very dramatic outcome – comebacks – in a game that wants to provide an even playing field for competition.
