I honestly don't think I'll be able to get my main worldbuilding project done, but I made some decent progress. I got an idea for another mini worldbuilding project however, so it'll be a bit of a brain teaser. Hopefully it'll be fun and improve my mood a bit. Besides that, nothing really interesting has happened. Here's to another week, though.
Feeling a bit glum but I been crushing it on my HVAC courses this week. Got one more to go before I think I can do an exam and then I'll know if the rest of the courses I'm doing are worth it. If I get a certification great I'll get to grinding for the rest and then finally a job
roll call
If anybody else wants to be added to the roll call, just let me know
Stickied good luck.
I think I got a path forward now career wise, been doing interplay learning and working towards some courses I believe have an exam portion. 5 pathways with an exam at the end and I should be certified. Each course is like long and as much as I push myself I can prob do 3 hours a day.
Maybe in a month or two if I keep at it I can finally get a job. HVAC career is possible
Honestly, I haven't been doing too well in terms of last week and today. I've barely done anything productive and I've been scatterbrained.
In terms of what I wanna do this week, I'm hoping to, at bare minimum, finish the introduction / primer to my worldbuilding project so I can say I made progress on my passion project. I also hope I can actually do some reading as well, particularly theory, as it's a thorn in my back to say that I haven't read any. I've got a lot of time to spare, it's just that I've been using it to slowly rot in my bedroom instead of doing anything.
With that out of the way, cheers to another week of surviving hell world, comrades.
My week was kinda garbage, I was too tired for running and meditation. I still tried to make some progress, made 15 bean burritos for meal prep. Next week hopefully I'll be able to get back on the horse
Self Improvement
A community which focusses on improving yourself. This can be in many different ways - from improving physical health or appearance, to improving mental health, creating better habits, overcoming addictions, etc.
While material circumstances beyond our control do govern much of our daily lives, people do have agency and choices to make, whether that is as "simple" as disciplining yourself to not doomscroll, to as complex as recreating yourself to have many different hobbies and habits.
This is not a place where all we do is talk about improving "productivity" (in a workplace context) and similar terms and harmful lifestyles like "grindset". Self-improvement here is intended to make you a generally better and happier person, as well as a better communist, and any other roles you may have in your life.
Rules and guidelines:
- Posts should be about self-improvement. This is obviously a wide category, and can range from advice, to finding resources, to self-posts about needing to improve in a certain area, or how you have improved, and many other things.
- Use content warnings when discussing difficult subjects.
- Do not make medical decisions solely because of a discussion you have had with any person here (e.g. whether to take or not take medications; diagnoses; etc.) as we do not vet people. All medical problems should be discussed with a real-life medical professional.
- Do not post harmful advice here. If this is seen, then please report it and we shall remove it. If you are unsure about whether it's precisely harmful advice or not but feel uneasy about it, please report it anyway.
- Do not insult other users and their lifestyles or their habits (unless they ask, I suppose). This is a place for self-improvement. Critique and discussion about a course of action is encouraged over shit-flinging. Don't talk down to people.
