Agreed, this is a valid list of minor concerns but this is just a fearmongering post. It’s not good that some metadata can leak but if you take normal precautions (i.e. don’t run this next to your classified information storage) it’s fine to open this so your friends can watch media.

Source: me and my Masters degree in cybersecurity (but apparently OP just learned about Kerckhoff’s principle and rainbow tables in a completely incorrect context so I know how to do my job or smth lmao)

Edit: lol don’t look at OPs post history, now I know where the fearmongering came from

One cause of cancer like this probably won’t be visible on a national scale, too many other factors come into play that will muddy the data

However, it’s not “idk”, the current science on gas stoves being bad for your health is quite clear. Not just cancer, but also for other lung-related issues like asthma: https://www.cancercenter.com/community/blog/2024/09/are-gas-stoves-bad-for-your-health

Is this real? If so, this is the saddest thing I’ve seen in a very long time.

The guy needs actual help. But bad luck for us: instead he’ll tear down American democracy.

There’s a lot of people who seem to have a knee-jerk reaction to this “that’s a war crime!!1!”, but it really is not. Incendiary weapons (like thermite, white phosphorus and napalm) are not illegal to use against legitimate military targets, including enemy combatants. It’s only a war crime when it’s used indiscriminately against civilians or in civilian areas.

Lot of misinformation out there on this it seems.

This doesn’t mean anything. It’s an LLM and it will only give you a valid sounding answer regardless of the truth. “Yes” sounds valid and is probably the one with the most occurrences in the training data.

Stop posting shit like this.

I don’t get what employers have to do with your health insurance in the first place. Is this some weird way to keep you working at the threat of your healthcare being taken away?

The US is weird af

Gather all the worlds subtitles under the guise of being “open” and then bait and switch when you’re the largest subtitles database out there.

The free API had a limit of 20 subs/day, you’re not going to tell me those server costs were significant.

find “$(echo $HOME > variable_holder.txt && cat variable_holder.txt)/$(cat alphabet.txt | grep “d”) $(cat alphabet.txt | grep “o”)$(cat alphabet.txt | grep “c”)$(cat alphabet.txt | grep “s”)”

This is the easiest method

Nah, I use Siri daily for simple tasks. Turning on lights, setting timers, adding things to my groceries list. She’s simple, but perfectly fine for simple tasks.

Please leave her the fuck alone :’)
