My phone has been blowing up in all the best ways today.

Jen's been out of extended-care ICU for about 3- 4 weeks and has been recovering at home. Since she's been awake and out of the regular ICU, she's not wanted visitors, so we've only gotten updates from her husband and sisters.

Today, she's finally got enough dexterity back in her hands to start using her phone again and joined our group chat!!

Also, we finally got an answer to "what the fuck happened?" and I've been authorized to share the following:

Jen: Got downed by choking on a grape. That's what started this whole thing 😩

Me: LOL. The one time you ate a grape instead of drinking them from a box.

Jen: I know right?? Only liquid grapes from now on

So, she's definitely still all there (which wasn't a given when this all went down), is in good spirits, and doing better.

Also, I guess this community can stay open. I've had to leave dubvee partially online in a parking orbit in order to do development on Tesseract, so I guess c/30Rock can keep on going.

Also also, if you see any grapes, give them a good squish and let them know who the dominant life form is.

I've decided to shutdown Dubvee, so that means this community is going away. I'm not aware of any other 30 Rock community to recommend, but if someone wants to start one on Piefed and take over, I am open to assisting with a community transfer.

It may seem dirty doing this while Jen is out of action, but we talk IRL, and she's known for a good while that my interest in Lemmy has been fading, so I know she understands.

Code named Gadzorp, the entire point is to serve as a reference with scripts from every episode as well as all the GIFs that I have created for the show. The biggest issue at this point is that I need to make time to manually go though each script and revise them as needed (as well as add scripts for the deleted scenes). But in the meantime, please check it out and give me some feedback! Tell me how it breaks, try to hack into it, all that stuff.

A bit of sad news to report.

What many of you may not know is that the mod here, Jenny, is one of my oldest IRL friends. Earlier today I got a call from her husband letting me know that when he came home from work Saturday, he found her unresponsive. She has been in the ICU since then. She was awake and talking yesterday morning but is now in a medically induced coma (mostly due to secondary complications).

I'm intentionally skipping over the specifics, but suffice it to say she's got a fight ahead of her. Things were too hectic this evening to visit, but I'm hoping to go see her tomorrow or as soon as the situation stabilizes enough to allow for non-family visitors.

So please keep her and her family in your thoughts.

I always assumed this was a cameo appearance by the actual Bob Ballard after the many times he was referenced in previous episodes. But I just started watching seaQuest DSV, in which Ballard would appear during the credits to give some fun facts (just like the end of this 30 Rock episode), and discovered that they are indeed not the same person.
