New user here: Why does my community not show up in other instances? (lemmy.ca)

I recently made a community, [email protected]. The community can be seen from this instance, but isn't accessible from other ones.

For example, if I go to https://lemmy.one/c/[email protected] , I get an error.

Is there some requirement communities have to reach before they appear on other instances? Is this a bug?

Sorry if the answer is obvious or has been asked before, but I couldn't find any info on this.

Nah, that'd be insane. People just need to know how to discover communities and how to subscribe to them. It's a learning curve. It's why I've been going around explaining this same thing like 50 times in the last 4 days.

Unfortunately, for now, you'll have to use your phone's browser. That's a feature that's coming later.

Once you've subscribed, then looking through your feeds and responding is way nicer in the app (at least that's my opinion).
