Looking for an anime or manga about someone on self-improvement. Could be a monk pursuing enlightenment, or could be a degen trying to better himself.

Mushishi isn't really about improvement, but almost fits the "traveling monk" type of lifestyle

I watched 2-3 episodes of it a while ago. It's 100% something I'm interested in continuing, I just wasn't in the right mood back then. Thank you for the recommendation.
