Okay hear me out, shaming people for showering less is ableist and poverty/houseless shaming, not everyone is able to shower consistently and like most people who don't shower very often would want to have the ability to shower more, like there's obviously depression and if you live with conditions where you can only have enough to drink any drop of water after that will be split on cleaning yourself and your clothes and you can't do only of those or you'll still smell bad anyway.
Shower with your clothes on. Bonus points if you piss in the shower too. It saves water! #SaveTheTurtles #Kony2012
Unironically did this when I was homeless. I'd save up for the cheapest hotel/hostel I could find and just wash my clothes while I was in the shower.
I understand that may not be an option for homeless folks who don't have a source of income though.
Isn’t this pretty common? When traveling, backpacking, homeless, or without general access to a washing machine; isn’t it fairly common for people to dump their clothes in a bathtub with some detergent and then scrub and mix them around?
That’s what I always did at least. Does the same thing as a machine just a lot more tiring.
Good to hear you’re no longer in that situation though.
I still don't have access to a washing machine, so I wash my clothes in a bucket, detergent does 90% of the work in cleaning clothes, washing machines just save time because you don't need to manually wash your clothes around.
It's much less worrying than doing it while homeless though, it's not fun hoping clothes will dry overnight before you have to leave the hotel, and going to work in damp clothes.
Good ideas, keep 'em coming.
LMAO this reminded me of one episode of that tv show about extremely cheap people, dude showered with clothes on so they get clean and only flushed his toilet once a week.
Guess they were trying to save money.
You know, cost-of-living crisis and everything...
I'm Autistic so I ultimately gravitate toward this opinion.
