A place to discuss pro-conservative stuff

  1. Be excellent to each other. Civility, No Racism, No Bigotry, No Slurs, No calls to violences, No namecalling, All that good stuff, follow lemm.ee's rules, follow the rules of your instance, etc.

  2. We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

  3. Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.

A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

Yeah I think that the white monarchist government of my country is illegitimate and that ownership of the land should be returned to the indigenous people. If the white people don't like it they can go back to England

Also since the government is illegitimate, cops are actually occupying soldiers and killing them is ethically A-okay.

Cool, cool. How do you feel about Indians and Chinese (as in the subcontinent) in Britian?

How about Syrians in Sweden?

Do you honestly believe it is logical to equate colonialism to immigration?

[–] [email protected] -2 points 8 months ago (3 children)

Yes actually. Why wouldnt they be the same thing?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 8 months ago

You must not be very familiar with the impacts of colonialism then. Take your time and read these:

https://www.currentaffairs.org/2017/09/a-quick-reminder-of-why-colonialism-was-bad

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/current-affairs-magazine/

Equating the two is laughable. You are equating

  • conquest

  • the intentional destruction of a people's civilization/government

  • slavery

to

  • the people trying to escape said destruction/lingering impacts

  • the people moving to our nations for the hope of working for a better life, who have lower crime rates than the existing population, and are a net boon to the economy

It is beyond ridiculous, and a miscarriage of history.

Because colonizer is an edge lord word.

They’re for all intents the same. Ask the native Americans if there was a difference between the colonizers and when we formed a nation with immigrants

Because colonizer is an edge lord word.

___ is left of center right, so it is [dismissive label].

Thank you edge lord.

Now can you answer the question or are you just going to do you same MO?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago (1 children)

It's really inspiring that you're resorting to insults immediately after becoming a mod.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Can you answer the question or not?

I am civil. Last time I am asking, can you answer the question or not?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

So you think calling people names is civil?

Indians and some Chinese technically are not immigrants to the UK. If they are part of the commonwealth, they can move to other commonwealth states. It’s similar to Puerto Rico and America but slightly different.

It’s why there are so many Jamaicans in the UK. They are part is the commonwealth
