Boards are finished with a beeswax and mineral oil paste that I made. Here are a sitting in plastic wrap getting ready to put in gift bags.
Fantastic. Thanks for all the steps, too. So routering the edges is the key to planing after glueup?
Yes, and making very light passes. The other option is gluing sacrificial boards to the end and then cutting them off later.
Or skip planing and just sand, that is probably the safest.
