Or get a wireless mouse that charges through the mousepad and it works forever while not having wires connect to your mouse.
Or charge the mouse pad with a tesla coil to charge your wireless mouse so your mouse pad stays charged forever.

A $4 mouse sucks tho.
Dragging the mouse cord across the desk is annoying though, and mouse bungees don't fix the problem entirely
What kind of heavy cable does your mouse use that you even notice it is attached?
If you use low mouse sensitivity it's very annoying
