Stirling February

  • Brush: Stirling Soap Co. Zenith Boar Brush 31mm × 50mm
  • Razor: Mongoose Razors Alumigoose
  • Blade: Feather Professional
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. Varen
  • Aftershave: Barrister and Mann Fougère Gothique
  • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company Seaforth! Fleur de France
  • Talc: Pinaud Clubman Finest Powder

I finally got the new big Stirling × Zenith boar brush and I decided to break it in doing a Stirling February like I did when I got the Moar Boar a year ago. This is the first use and I haven't done anything to prepare the brush: no fridge shenanigans, no hair dryer, no hand lathers. The brush has even more backbone than the Moar Boar, but that might be just because it's brand new. In typical Zenith manner, the tips are already soft. I loaded extra heavy to compensate for the brush's juvenile lather-hogging and actually got enough lather for three passes. The brush is essentially pre-broken in 😊
