what the fuck are you talking about, the soviets beat your ass twice and your nazi shit country is still fucking there. you keep saying the russians would have taken everything BUT THEY WON AND THEY DIDNT EVEN TAKE FINLAND.

Finland was also the one who invaded the USSR after allying with Nazi Germany. It had nothing to do with ”we're uwu smol beans who need the Nazis to protect us from the ebil Soviets”, Finnish fascists were openly dreaming of Greater Finland.
also the very widespread cold war propaganda filling european heads that the soviets were just as bad as the nazis.
for example, the nazis murdered hundreds of thousands of hungarian civilians, while the soviets did not.
which is why the average hungarian will to this day insist that it was not liberation when the red army finally took budapest and chased the nazis out. even people who WOULD NOT EVEN BE ALIVE TODAY WITHOUT THE SOVIETS, cos their parents were in hiding while the nazis were actively hunting for them, and it's a fucking miracle they made it out of the war alive as it is.
