Does this server have a maximum file size for image uploads? I've encountered the following error when trying to post an image:

If a limit exists, is it set by Lemmy as a whole, or on a per-instance basis?

Thanks for the reply! Just tried it again now and got the same result. File is a 7.2 MB jpg.

Also, I'm trying to post on a feddit.de community from my sh.itjust.works account. Would that make a difference? I thought not, as my understanding is that the post would appear on sh.itjust.works first, and later be federated to feddit.de. Please correct me if I have misunderstood anything.

Edit: Just tried uploading the same image to [email protected] with the same result, which makes me suspect it is a local issue, rather than an issue between servers.

Edit2: Image upload size limit is 5 MB, per u/InEnduringGrowStrong.
