My pleasure, this update was a pleasure to work on as it addressed some of my biggest gripes about markdown rendering.
I haven’t set up any donation points for Arctic aside from BuyMeACoffee since I’m so planning to add a Tip Jar using in app purchases with the AppStore release. Since apple doesn’t allow payments via 3rd party in AppStore apps, I decided not to set up alternatives. I may add my PayPal and maybe crypto donation links in the sidebar for [email protected], but I’ll need to look into Apple’s policy around that.
As for the AppStore release, I had originally planned to release at the end of September, but I’ve gotten a little carried away with features and fixes. As you said, Arctic is quite stable at this point, and I would like to roll out an official release in the next couple of weeks.
One thing I’d like to polish a little before releasing is branding. I’d like to have a professional looking icon for the app, as none of the ones I’ve made quite feel right to me. Along with that, I need to put together all the promotional content for the AppStore page. Either way, I’d like to have Arctic submitted to the AppStore before February.
More customization options are coming soon as well, I had planned to already have a lot of that done, but the 0.19.x breaking changes took some extra time. I’ll get back to working on these soon.
I also think Arctic is stable enough for an AppStore release, but can always appreciate devs that want to do as much fine tuning as possible rather than rushing things out! I’ll certainly support your endeavors, as Arctic is a pleasure to use.
You piqued my interest there. Mind if I ask what customizations you’ve been planning?
