I remember having a pretty long debate about how the framing of pitbulls as "naturally aggressive" animals had its roots in prenology and race science, then for a while thought I might have over estimated on that, but it's good to be proven right sometimes

One thing I notice with the anti-pitbull people is that they always go out of their way to emphasise that a certain sort of person (US foreign policy ) owns pitbulls more than any other.

And when you see the rhetoric they use about pitbulls, you start to notice they also love to imply that the pitbull's owners are the same "seconds away from savagely attacking the people around them at all times."

It's like those pictures of people that look like their dogs, but instead of being cute it's meant to be violently racist.

Sounds like the international community bombing innocent people around the world

[–] [email protected] 26 points 8 months ago

Acktually sweaty, they only bomb those people because they are so dangerous? It all makes sense when you look at the chart. US foreign policy

Honestly I'm more freaked out when I see a 5'2" white woman being dragged along by a 150lbs tube of dog muscle that I assume she got cuz she's paranoid about home invasion than when I see a black or Hispanic person with one. The later group generally seems to actually train their massive fuck off dogs.

"Are we... still talking about beer?" except instead of beer it's dogs

Strange that a strong dog breed that a lot of people get to protect their homes and train to be mean and attack people end up attacking so many people.

Are you actually arguing against the objectively correct immortal science of dog phrenology? I'll have you know that I have used my calipers to analyze the head shapes of dozens of pitbulls and every single one of them has attacked me, what does that tell you?!?!
