I don't get why thus is funny. permalink fedilink source hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] ramble81@lemm.ee 5 points 2 years ago It’s funny because it falls under the category of “shooting yourself in the foot” permalink fedilink source parent [–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world [S] 1 point 2 years ago* Not all satire is funny haha. Here's an example of excellent satire from The Onion that's not funny at all. permalink fedilink source parent [–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) It’s kinda funny because there is no point in him being on any Republican ballots in the first point. He’s sucking up to a bunch of racist voters who are never going to elect a POC, no matter how many fanciest promises he makes. This would be similar me pulling out of the Tour de France because the leader was kicked out for doping. But I was competing on a Pennyfarthing. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 0 points 2 years ago (1 child) Just because you disagree with him doesn't give you the right to kick him out. I'm not the biggest fan but it really does scare me to see candidates removed from a ballot. You may think this is fine or even necessary but no one will be laughing when there is only one box on the ballot. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 1 point 2 years ago We’re talking about Vivek here. He wasn’t kicked out, he withdrew. The insurrectionist wannabe dictator doesn’t deserve a second chance. He fucked around, needs to find out, and the 14th amendment is there to do that. permalink fedilink source parent
