Was only able to watch the replay last night.

  • I see Lalana is still a dirty, cheating bastard.
  • And the refs are still as inconsistently shite as ever. So flagrantly hacking down Saka repeatedly is fine, but a bit of a tug on a shirt is unacceptable.
  • Big Gabi was immense. He had Ferguson in his pocket for the 90+ mins. I know Saliba got a lot of praise, and yes he did very well. But I thought Big Gabi was even better.
  • Saka was also immense, and unlucky not to have scored. Even with them double-manning him he was still causing them a lot of problems on the wing. How he repeatedly exploited pockets between their fullback and centreback, and ghosting around Milner was fantastic.
  • Speaking of Milner, how the fuck is he still being played as a fullback in the PL at 37? Saka was rinsing him for fun. I can maybe see him still having a role for a smaller club, but surely more in a defensive mid position, where's his ability to read the game works well but he's not facing skillful speed merchants all the time.
  • Ode was very good in build-up play and recycling the ball, but his shooting was off.
  • Eddie's positioning is very good, as ever. And I'm impressed with his burgeoning ability to find teammates with very good passes.
  • Good to see Gabi J is finding his confidence and showing his skills more again.
  • Rice, holy shit what a player we have! I never cease to be amazed by how well-rounded he is.
  • "Sixty million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again!" He's getting a little better every match he plays. Love to see it.
