Who remembers a flood of these articles back in April when they were sure the surprise of the offensive mixed with western wonder weapons would fold Russian defences in no time (foreignpolicy.com)

Western media wrote that in the first 72-96 hours of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was necessary to be on the coast of the Sea of Azov, having broken through the front, to begin the assault on Melitopol.

The first couple days of the attack were supposed to define the offensive. Western analysts focused on a lightning-fast offensive in order to achieve success, and now the operation is moving into positional battles, in fact, resembling the situation in Bakhmut where Ukraine got ground down through attrition.

Surely the western masses will forget all about this humiliation and be beating the drums again once they announce the sequel: the coming war on the PRC where 'freedom and democracy' will surely prevail... for the 3rd time

If one thing is clear at this point is that people in the west are unable to learn from their past actions. Every time western regimes decide to start a war the public quickly gets onboard believing that this will the one just war that the west is waging.
