I just brought a new townhouse with networking setup located in the downstair coat closet. I have only one cat cable ran from the downstairs closet to my home office. For context, currently using a google wifi mesh system with one node connect in the closet and the cat cable for office plugged into the node lan port.

Problem:

I am still running into dead spots through out the house and my wifi speeds are in the low 100 with 1gb coming into house. I have even tested the wired connect coming from closet nest node and it's in the low 100. I won't be able to add more wired connection until later due complexly and just don't got to time to figure it out. Will the Zenwifi hybrid or Zenwifi fix the spotty wifi coverage and give me faster speeds when connecting the back haul ?

you have to get your router/wifi gear out of the closet, first thing, then see if things improve with your current gear instead of buying new stuff first

it was set up that way at first. I used the cat cable in the office as main source plugged into 1gb port of the at&t gateway. The dead areas were in the middle section and sum at the bottom. These are ac1200 node and I just don't think they are powerful enough to get through the housing layers.

you are probably right. get ax or axe mesh and you should be fine
