Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I sometimes wonder if desalination is a viable solution to our water problems.

But then again, it might be more cost-effective to just build more dams to store water during the rainy season.

I'm not that educated on the subject, but last I've read (sparse and a long time ago), is that these plants cost a fuck-ton of money. We'll see how it goes. Now that you mention it, might as well watch a docu on this.

TBH, the only reason it's floating about the top of my head is because I've recently watched a vid by Practical Engineering on it.
