I’ve been a iPhone user for ages and tried lots of different apps to replace the native iOS apps. As a casual user though I keep coming back to the native apps because they just work across all my devices. So I guess I’m curious what everyone uses instead from a casual point of view

  • Fantastical because the stock calendar app sucks.
  • Spark, because Apple's mail client often carries lines continuously to the right without starting a new line, making emails harder to read.
  • Evernote because it has note versioning and an easy option to export should I ever want to leave
  • Carrot Weather because I can choose a source, and the watch complication shows the condition AND the temperature. Also, far less scrolling and clicking around
  • Todoist because it's more robust than Reminders, though I still use Reminders for those small "hey Siri, remind me to check the mail in an hour" kind of things.
