I bought my first one in 2012 and replaced it in 2020. I still have several years to go on this one.

ATV 2017 4K? I’m still using the same with the original remote that everyone hated so much but I totally love.

went from apple TV to apple TV 4K but don't use it anymore just use the TV app.

Yep, on the 2015 model and as long as the software supports it and my 15 year old TV doesn't fail(to need a 4k replacement), I'll continue to use mine.
