What are some iMessage and RCS Features you’d love to see implemented now that RCS is being supported in 2024? (alien.top)

Now that RCS is being supported by Apple, you technically don’t have to install a 3rd party app to a have a good messaging experience with non-Apple users. I’ll probably slowly delete and replace some of those apps, as the world moves forward with modern messaging interoperability.

I can’t help but think of a few features I’d miss by only using iMessage (as you can tell, I’m not from the US). Text “Notes” from Messenger is a nice, modern callback to “Statuses” of the 2010s. And I’ll be honest, I’ll miss Stories (which are pretty much in every app now), Group Chats having typing indicators, Group Descriptions, custom Group Display Pics etc.

What would you like to see added to iMessage or RCS?

I'm from europe where most cool features like polls and games got removed from fb messenger (preferred in my area)
so now it's basically just texting,
only things people might miss from there could be chat backgrounds and nicknames, but i won't miss them at all since both of these are shown to everyone in the chat
