I moved into a house with a few roommates back in August. My room is upstairs, the router is downstairs but up until three weeks ago I could stream and game with no issues. One day my internet just started periodically disconnecting. It’s been happening more and more frequent and it’s time to do something about it. I’m not sure how I should fix it though because I can’t change the router location. Should I look into buying a better router with more range, a mesh system or are there any better options?

Do you have coax in the house so you might be able to use MoCA adapters to get a wired connection? Here are some diagrams form GoCoax that show how to use MoCA.
