However (coming from an iPhone 15 Pro Max owner), if you scale down the refresh rate from 120hz to 60hz, it's gonna look atrocious, though every time I've been on a 60hz standard iPhone (like in your case) it has felt so much smoother than the former. Maybe it's due to the fact that the adaptive refresh rate feature allows the ProMotion iPhones to go as low as 1hz (if I'm not mistaken), so, ironically, it feels less smooth than the 60hz standard model, even though it can be smoother than it.
14 Pros and later can go down to 1Hz, 13 Pros can go down to 10Hz
Yeah, from my experience with my 14 Pro I agree with what you are saying. My 14 Pro set to 60Hz in settings feels worse than my parents iPhone 13 does.
I honestly wonder why that is. Thought I was getting the same 60hz experience 🤷!?
