Currently i have my router on the other side of the house and i can get a consistent 215mb down and 95mb upload but this is only when im the only one using the internet but i can sometimes drop down to 50 down and like 15 upload. When ever im not the only one using the internet two people are streaming onto tv's and someone is using it to play games and running a speed test gives me 150mb download but in game i get 100 ping and using google is basically impossible. Plus a weird problem thats not related to this but there are days where no one is using the internet but it just like to drop to 10mbps and back up to 150mbps and back down to 10mbps sometimes even 0.1mbps.

I think we have the router that our provider sent to and its a tm-ac1900 that we had for years and im trying to figure out is my internet plan bad or is my router too old and needs to be upgraded.

Sorry if this is a lot but if anyone can tell me some fixes or to figure out whats happening. If it is my router can someone tell me some good routers that can do really well for 4 people while two people are streaming videos of tv's for a reasonable price.

the "other side" of the house...... some tiny drywalls or reinforced concrete loadcarrying walls are totally different.

Do not forget, the further away you are from your own wifi point, the closer you get to your neighbour's.

Your situation might be more about your neighbours wifi than your own. Start with choosing a wifi channel that has no or little interference with the wifi points around you.
