Weird that as soon as nothing phone creats workaround for iMessage apple announces support for rcs (alien.top)

Nothing phone announced iMessage support just a couple of days back and today apple announces support for RCS from next year. Do you think this 2 are correlated somehow?

Possibly, but there is zero reason apple should not have supported rcs to begin with. SMS should have been put out of its misery long ago. Rcs was created because Apple would not play nice with android. Encrypted texting should be available to all. By default.
