Hello all!

I'm with a strange problem. My new pc only has internet with WIFI, but not with ethernet.

I've got an Asus B650e-f with windowes 11and I'm having an issue with the connection. I only can get connection thru WIFI. The ethernet connection says it cannot identify the network with DHCP.

Things I tryed:

1- Assigning a static IP - It recognizes the network but it wont give me internet

2- Use an USB ethernet adaptor - same problem

3- Change cables, restart/reset everything - same problem

4- Try a different PC (tryed 2) - It works just fine and connects in seconds

5- Try those other pcs with ethernet dongles - work just fine

6- Disable TCP/IP6 - same problem

7- change energy settings - same problem

8- Update windows - same problem

9- Disable firewalls - same problem

10 - Other ports in router - same problem

I really didnt want to reinstall windows again. This is a new build and its watercooled and its with a good tune. Only problem I have its the ethernet connection.

Any ideas for me to try? The problem must be software since other machines work fine with the usb ethernet dongles and this doesnt. The WIFI works just fine, thats the really strange part.

Normally I'd say uninstall the NIC from Device Manager and reboot, but it looks like it didn't work with a USB NIC either. When you tested other PC's, you had them connected to the same exact cable and port as the PC with the issue?

If so, you have something weird going on I've never heard of. Reinstall Windows and hope for the best.
