Is the macbook m1 still worth buying if I’m looking for a laptop to have for the next 4/5 years ? (alien.top)

Im in desperate need of a laptop and am kind of on a budget and am looking for a laptop that I can use to study and editing videos , is the MacBook m1 worth it or should I save more money and get the m2.? I want to buy a laptop that will still be good in 4/5 years from now because I don’t want to be worried about having to buy a new one for a long time I’m done going to the library on rainy days to use their slow pc’s :,)

Yes, given Apple’s lifecycle it should get major software updates for the next 4 years or so.

Editing videos might require more than 8GB of RAM which will significantly add to the cost though.

Do you think that if I buy the version with more ram storage I can play cod ? My console is at my parents lol
