Unpopular opinion: Just get rid of time zones altogether and go with GMT.
We're in the 21st century, our lives don't need to be scheduled by the sun.
Not all that unpopular but it would require global coordination, for now best we can do seems to be more wars.
"The time wars" sounds kinda cool
