No? Dota is the father, not Dota 2
well Dota 2 is Dota just on a new engine for a good while they also had patch parity until Dota 2 moved past the limitations of the WC3 engine and so DotA was abandoned
Technically it was already DotA 2 when Morello pulled his stunt.
