yes, kei trucks are pretty common here in Colombia
America will only come around to the glory of the kei vehicle after an incredible oil shortage or a violent revolution with accompanying purges
Cars under 25 years old are illegal to import in the US, there are exceptions for using Kei trucks on private property. I'm pretty sure they're totally legal if they're over 25. A place near me in Washington State is a major importer of them.
It depends on the state. Some ban trucks, some ban all kei cars, some ban other Japanese imports:
