Well yes, but why does riker have lgbt significance? As far as I know both Jonathan Frakes and the character are heterosexual no?
(Excluding the weird edge case where he fell for a female member of a species that is largely androgynous, but not completely)
I think it was mostly just "any list of things that swerves into a trombone solo must involve Riker in some capacity"
