Snip:

American journalist Tucker Carlson said the conflict over Iran has bankrupted the US and brought an end to the American empire.

"The United States has gone bankrupt" because of the war with Iran, threatening the dollar, and many other things, Carson said in a video on YouTube.

According to Carlson, because of the war with Iran and involvement in other conflicts in the Middle East, the US was forced to "borrow trillions of dollars." Servicing that debt is currently devastating the federal budget, he added. According to Carlson, everyone knew that the Republicans were headed for "a major defeat" in the US midterm elections to Congress precisely because of the war with Iran and its consequences.

I think users shouldn't act like they own the entire website and if you don't like seeing somebody else's post, you should click the "hide post" button or report it if it violates the website rules.

There shouldn't be some kind of moral righteousness that you feel about observing the outside world. Tucker is still a notable and influential figure, even though he's a massive bigot. He still has a huge following on the right wing.

There's things that you could learn about this post. Maybe it's kind of interesting that Russian public media is reporting Tucker Carlson. Maybe you could notice that Tucker is trying to create a split into the Republican party and that he said he believes that Trumpism has ceased to exist.

You have to know how your enemy thinks to defeat them. It's baby logic to think that if you don't see something then it doesn't exist.

Instead of complaining about people who post, you should make posts that you like.

  • Good response. Tucker Carlson is extremely famous. When he says Washington should not have attacked Iran and that this war caused the Republicans to suffer a humiliating election defeat, it actually is newsworthy, interesting, and amusing to many of us anti-imperialist posters. That doesn't mean we love everything else he has to say.

I also post quotes from other right-wingers (like Peter Thiel, a few weeks ago) saying basically the same thing. In fact, having right-wingers come out and criticize a US imperialist war is a pretty good barometer reading for indicating that the war in question is going terribly wrong for the US ruling class. And that is precisely why I pay attention to it.

You people only show this level of obsequiousness to the shittiest and most CIA coded of reactionaries. You could discuss what right wingers such as John Mearsheimer or Scott Ritter say but no, let’s listen to the biggest piece of shit, Mr Cucker Tarlson like we’re in some edge lord contest. I HAVE to listen to the brilliant insight guys, US imperialism has taken taken a hit from getting into the dumbest conflict in the past 2 centuries. Brilliant. I’m sure conceding Tucker fucker Carlson this point goes really well when drinking beer with the chud buds.

We all know Tucker is a savvy grifter, it’s all very predictable, I don’t need to know the next revelation the bros are going to reach

I don't have any preference for Tucker Carlson. The point of my comment is that no user should have the expectation that they like every post on the website. There are ton of posts that I don't like and I don't comment on them because not every post is for me.

Why does it annoy me when people complain about having to observe right wing figures? Because it discourages people from posting. Everyone is always discouraging people from posting. It discourages discussions. Why aren't you encouraging posting? It makes me feel discouraged for posting interesting things because I think people might react badly.

By the way, the Hexbear algorithm highly favors posts with comments. The more that you post in the thread, the more visibility it will have. I simply don't comment on posts that I don't want to see and then they disappear naturally.

Sure, but I think voicing my discontent with this fucker is just as important as posting his straightjacketing. Again, his op has become beyond predictable, his ascendency within the American reactionary movement is beyond predictable. I’m not going to take 8 years of ‘giving it’ to this guy until he becomes president, puts everyone in a concentration camp, and starts a war with China.

    What are you on about?

Nobody is 'giving it to him'. The point is to watch how the extremely obvious op is proceeding and how it affects the rhetoric of the right-wing going forward. Nobody here thinks that Tucker Carlson is actually serious about making peace or whatever.

That said, complaining about posters complaining is a time-honored tradition that I will never stand in the way of.
