I'm absolutely biased here, but still something seems........ Off. Like WAY off!

The iOS keyboard can be annoying but it's serviceable. Yeah I mispress keys quite often and iOS's spell checker makes me go "WERE YOU BORN YESTERDAY!? %s is obviously a real word!"

But I can write my Rats of NIMH fanfiction, and it doesn't feel like I'm wading through mud.

Meanwhile over on Android with both GBoard and Samsung's offerings, I mistype characters. Constantly. Typing is a genuine chore.

Okay maybe I need to retry GBoard as I was using it on an ultra cheap and nasty (but very much fun to root and play with) Mediatek android phone with "probably not the best capacitive touchscreen digitizer Shenzhen has to offer".

(If you don't have a """"junkie"""" Mediatek android phone running a modernish version of Andoid: Get one! They're fantastic!)

But that "Samsung Keyboard" ma'am, it just..... Ugh I hate using it so much. It is a HORRIFIC slog trying to type more then a sentence with it!

Idk, does anyone else have the inverse experience of me?

The Samsung keyboard is awful, but I'm used to Gboard on Pixels and trying to use an iOS device is a nightmare.

Also, for at least the last ten years all of these keyboards learn from your inputs, the words you use, and how you misspell things. If you switch to a new device, you're starting from scratch on muscle memory, but the device is also starting from scratch on your-input-memory. iOS at least carries over your keyboard data between devices, but that isn't something that syncs between Android devices. (especially not between different manufacturers)
